Unable to import arcpy

Hey, I was trying on the command line to import pci to python and it worked.but when i then triedto import arcpy, it gives an error message "Import error, no module named arcpy". What is the likely cause and what can i do about it?

Hi Obinna,

It is likely that you are using the wrong python interpreter. ArcGIS installs their own interpreter. If you want to use Geomatica and ArcGIS together, you will need to install the ArcGIS 64bit background geoprocesses and run your code with the python interpreter that is installed with that package.

Checkout these simple installation steps: http://pcigeomatics.github.io/PCI-Geomatics-Python-Cookbook/geomatica_cookbook_integrate_arcpy.html#installing-arcgis-64bit-background-geoprocesses

Good luck!

Thanks Shawn, I've tried to get the path point at the directory and it even got worse. If i could get the Environment variable path for python (path and pythonpath), that'll be great.
