Accessing Data as a Service on Cloudeo

PCI Geomatics -

PCI Geomatics had partnered with cloudeo to make Geomatica available on the cloudeo platform. With the Geomatica Cloud offering on cloudeo you can access the software 24/7, on-demand, from wherever you are.

An advantage to running Geomatica Cloud on cloudeo is access to their data as a service offerings. You can purchase satellite archive data, as well as task a satellite. This data is then automatically added to your Geomatica Cloud workbench to allow you to easily access and process this data with Geomatica.

Note that before following the steps of this tutorial you should first follow the Getting Started tutorial which outlines how to purchase a Geomatica Cloud workbench on cloudeo.

Access Data as a Service (DaaS) Offerings on cloudeo

As outlined in the Getting Started tutorial you will first need to create a cloudeo account. You should have also purchased a workbench with Geomatica Cloud.

You can then purchase one of the DaaS offerings which will add this data to the existing workbench.

  1. From the cloudeo store choose Data as a Service (DaaS) from the left menu

  1. There are different types of options including Archive, Tasking and DEMs (NEXTMap, Naked Earth). The process for purchasing Archive data and Tasking will be outlined below. Note that the purchase process for the DEM data is very similar to tasking.

Archive Data

The archived options provide access to a repository of datasets previously gathered by the chosen satellite. In this example we will walk through the process for purchasing KOMPSAT-3 Archived data but the same process applies to other archive DaaS options.

  1. From the DaaS webpage click on the KOMPSAT-3 Archive option.

 mceclip2.png

  1. Information about the KOMPSAT-3 archived data is provided.
  2. Further down the webpage is the order form.
